Summer Self Care in May

May 01, 2021

Next up in our #avocainspire campaign is Summer Self Care in May.

May brings the beginnings of Summer, with warm sunshine and longer days to enjoy. It’s a time when many of us like to get our skin ready for the Summer months ahead, and to try new beauty and self-care products to help us feel our best.

For Summer Self Care in May, we will be shining a light on some of our favourite beauty brands stocked at Avoca, as well as hosting some ‘Meet the Makers’ virtual events so you can hear some of the wonderful stories behind some Irish beauty brands. From the Burren Perfumery in Co. Clare to Field Day from Co. Down, we are spoiled for choice when it comes to wonderful Irish beauty brands all over this island we call home.

We will also be launching brand new beauty products, sharing our best beauty recommendations and rituals, offering self care tips, hosting giveaways and lots more.

Continuing our Wellness Wednesdays, we will be hosting a Meet the Makers series, where a selection of our favourite Irish beauty brands will share their stories. The schedule will take the below shape:

5th May - FieldDay

FieldDay was born in 2002 when founder Alix was inspired to capture and bottle the scents of our Irish countryside. From making rose petal perfume in jam jars to the converted mushroom factory in rural County Down that’s now FieldDay HQ, Alix’s creativity and meticulously studied fragrance combinations have resulted in multi award-winning candles and scented home accessories.

Luxury lifestyle brand Mookie and Boo create products designed to enhance your wellbeing. Specialising in sleep, they treat sleep as the top priority for wellness. With sustainability at their core, all of their products are created and handcrafted in their Co. Wicklow studio using ethically sourced ingredients.
