How to care for women’s clothes?
The methods used in caring for women’s clothes vary depending on the fabric in question.
Silk – A delicate fabric that should be hand washed or dry cleaned. A gentle detergent should be used and you should avoid wringing or twisting the fabric, instead gently press out the water and lay flat to dry. You should also avoid exposing silk to direct sunlight as it can cause discoloration.
Cotton – Cotton is durable and can be machine washed and dried. Use a mild detergent and avoid using bleach or softeners as they can damage the fibres.
Wool – Wool requires extra levels of care and should be hand washed or dry cleaned in cool or cold temperatures. A mild detergent should be used and the garment should be reshaped and laid flat to dry.
Linen – Linen can be machine washed and dried, but it’s best to use a mild detergent. After you’ve dried a linen garment, you should remove it from the machine promptly to avoid wrinkles.
