Avoca Ballsbridge is the thirteenth Avoca store in Ireland. Nestled in the bustling, dynamic area of Ballsbridge in Dublin 4, this brand-new location is an elevated food concept store. Avoca Ballsbridge promises to be a friendly addition to the neighborhood.

Inside our Food Market


The Food Market is a first-class experience with an extensive offering, boasting a neighbourhood deli counter, coffee bar and ‘Hello and Go’ section. The Avoca butcher offer showcases the finest meats from the country’s best artisan, organic and free-range meat producers. There is a cheese and charcuterie counter, a Parisian-style patisserie filled with decadent, freshly baked cakes, and a carefully chosen selection of fine wines. There will be several new and innovative elements to the store, never before seen at Avoca. From our pop-up food concept that promises to keep the offering fresh and relevant to a disco-inspired woodfired pizza oven, there will be something to surprise and delight every customer. There is seating allocated throughout so visitors can taste and explore as they please.

Fodder Restaurant


Taking good food back to basics, the new Fodder restaurant is centred around deliciously simple, quality fare cooked to perfection. In keeping with Avoca’s well-established dedication to and passion for Irish food provenance, the menu is focused on seasonal and local ingredients, hand-prepared with care and attention by the team of talented chefs. Fodder serves breakfast and lunch 7 days a week and offers an exceptional evening dining experience from Wednesday to Saturday. Offering something for every occasion and at any time of day, Fodder serves as the perfect spot for morning business meetings, brunch, and cocktails with friends and romantic dinners for two. Fodder is also home to an elegant bar, where guests can enjoy a delicious range of custom-made cocktails, fine wines, craft beers, and ciders.

The Story of No 1 Ballsbridge


In keeping with the Avoca brand’s DNA, this innovative new store is deeply rooted in heritage. Throughout the space, threads connect what is now to what used to be. Original features and references to the building’s previous purpose as a veterinary medicine university building are featured throughout, from the old photographs and maps of the area proudly hanging on the walls, to the stone animal heads mounted above the bar in Fodder restaurant.
