Avoca Malahide Spooky Storytelling

Oct 04, 2017

Join us in Avoca Malahide for a morning of spooky story reading with our White Witch on Sunday 29th October from 11.30am – 1.30pm. She will be sharing the tales of some of our favourite Halloween books including Spinderella & Room on the Broom.

Spinderella, by the creator of The Gruffalo Julia Donaldson & Sebastian Braun, is about a football-loving spider who doesn’t know how many spiders should be on each team and, even worse, has trouble counting the goals! Luckily for Spinderella, her hairy godmother is there to help… Spinderella is the perfect picture book for children of all ages; it’s funny, engaging, full of colour & offers help with counting & numbers.

Another book from Julia Donaldson, Room on the Broom tells the story of a cheerful witch and three helpful animals who find the items she has lost and in return, want a ride on her broom. When the broom snaps and they tumble into a bog, they are faced with a greedy dragon… but what will the animals do to help the witch then?

We have a Halloween spooky special on these books on the day & you can find lots more in our Toy Room. All children over 3 years are welcome but arrive early as places are limited.
