Good Food in June

Oct 01, 2023

Next up in our #avocainspire campaign is Good Food in June.

At Avoca we’re famous for our food, so what better way to kickstart Summer than to celebrate all things food? From BBQs and Summer picnics to fresh new salads and sweet treats, there’s lots to celebrate this month when it comes to food.

For Good Food in June, we’ll be spotlighting some of our favourite food suppliers stocked at Avoca, hosting a series of outdoor BBQ events, unveiling exciting food collaborations, new Summer dishes, enjoying brand new ice cream pop ups and lots more.

Continuing our Wellness Wednesdays, we will be sharing recipe tutorials on our IGTV from a range of our suppliers, so you can follow along and feel inspired to get cooking! The schedule will take the below shape:

June 2nd: Rosa Madre

Rosa Madre is one of Dublin’s most authentic Italian restaurants, located in the heart of Temple Bar. The Rosa Madre philosophy is all about the quality of ingredients, and they specialise in creating authentic Italian cuisine using fresh Irish ingredients.  After the pandemic hit and the restaurant's doors were shut, owners Luca & Trish had to find an alternative to keep allowing people to enjoy their food. They began producing their freshly made pasta for people to make at home.

June 9th: Homespun

A small Irish business with a mission to create innovative, healthy and delicious food, we’re delighted to have them as part of our Good Food in June series! Tune in on the 9th June for their delicious recipe for Quinoa Crunch Ferrero Rocher.

June 16th: White Masau

With White Masau, you get to enjoy the flavours of Japan, China and Korea, by way of Dublin, with their signature sauces. Peanuts, sesame, chilli combine to create a perfect trifecta of taste. Their oils and sauces go perfectly with anything from eggs to stir fry!

June 23rd: Plant It

Voted Ireland's favourite meat substitute brand, the Plant It mission is to choose good and do good through inspiring better choices at mealtimes. They have created a range of nutritious and delicious meat-free products, and work towards a greener future with their replanting scheme. They have already planted 10,000 trees in Ireland and the UK! Tune in and discover a delicious plant-based recipe you're sure to love.

June 30th: Blanco Nino

Blanco Nino was founded in 2015 after founder Phil travelled around Mexico with a mission to learn how to make the most authentic corn tortillas. After meeting local farmers and learning the secret to making true authentic tortillas, not only did he gain invaluable knowledge, he also acquired a new nickname…Blanco Niño. With a desire to produce tortillas of equal standard to those found on every street corner in Mexico, Phil returned to Ireland and along with a great team, opened the doors to the Tortilleria in Tipperary in 2015.  You’ll find only the very best ingredients in these chips & we’re lucky enough to have them show us a unique recipe using their chips that you can find in our Avoca stores.
