An Evening with Darina Allen in Association with Irish Country Magazine

We are beyond thrilled to be hosting an evening with Darina Allen and Irish Country Magazine at Avoca Kilmacanoge to celebrate the launch of her brand new cookbook, Simply Delicious: The Classic Collection! Taking place on Wednesday 7th November in our Fern House Café, doors will open at 7pm with the demos taking place from 7.30pm until around 9pm.
There’s no doubt that Darina is one of Ireland’s most beloved chefs. At Avoca, we’re passionate about Irish food and food provenance, and so partnering up with Darina for this event feels like a perfect match. Like us, Darina is an ardent ambassador for Irish food and, of course, founded the prestigious Ballymaloe Cookery School where our very own Executive Head Chef Leylie Hayes completed her training.
A best-selling author to boot, Darina has written over eighteen fabulous cookbooks to date, and we can’t wait to celebrate the launch of the brand new book, Simply Delicious: The Classic Collection at this event. The book features the 100 best recipes from the first three books of Darina’s iconic Simply Delicious book series, updated with gorgeous new photography. All sorts of recipes are covered from soups and starters to some favourite desserts, they have all stood the test of time since the original book was published almost 30 years ago.
Tickets to this fantastic evening are €45 and include a tasty treat and a glass of bubbles on arrival, as well as a signed copy of the brand new book so you can enjoy rustling up some of Darina’s delicious recipes at home. We hope you will join us for what promises to be a fabulous foodie evening.
