Christmas Launches - There’s Nothing Like Avoca
We're thrilled to kick off our Christmas celebrations with the launch of the ‘There’s Nothing like Avoca’ Christmas event held on Wednesday 8th November in the surroundings of our Suffolk Street store. This year, we are celebrating making hosting effortless with our Christmas Food to Order offerings. From every hand-cut star on top of mince pies, each carefully curated hamper, down to perfected festive recipes and ribbon-tied cakes, we have thought of every little thing, so you don't have to. With the joy of home entertaining at the heart of it all, we want to relish in the delight of hosting, to make this Christmas one to remember.
This dazzling event brought together familiar faces in the foodie world, from media mavens to influencers, and dear friends of the brand, John and Jayne Glynn from the Gavin Glynn Foundation. It was a delightful occasion filled with joy, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact.
Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a champagne drinks reception and treated to our award-winning seasonal canapés, providing a taste of the culinary delights Avoca has become synonymous with. As guests mingled and enjoyed the festive atmosphere, attendees had the chance to explore our Christmas gifting offerings, each one carefully curated to bring joy and warmth to the holiday season.
The excitement continued as guests were invited to ascend to the second floor, where Santa himself awaited their arrival. The jolly old man in red was ready to spread festive cheer, adding a touch of magic to an already enchanting evening.

As the sound of Santa's dinner bell echoed through the air, guests eagerly gathered around the festive table, ready to indulge in a splendid sit-down Christmas feast. Our culinary extravaganza showcased an array of favorites handpicked from our Christmas food offerings, transforming the dining experience into a celebration of seasonal delights.
From delectable sharing starters to a showstopping Christmas feast adorned with all the trimmings, the menu was a symphony of flavors that culminated in delightful sweet endings. Highlights included the savory Ham Hock, Fennel & Leek Terrine, our best-selling Turkey, succulent glazed ham, crispy roast potatoes, traditional Herb and Onion Stuffing, and Maple Roasted Carrots and Parsnips, among other mouthwatering creations.
But the feast didn't stop there—we had something special lined up for our vegetarian guests. From the festive Nut Roast to the indulgent Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni, Vegetable Lasagne, and the ever-popular Irish Mac and Cheese, we ensured that every palate found its joy.
