#avocafeeling with The Gloss: Week 2

Oct 15, 2020

How are you feeling today? Do you have that #AvocaFeeling?

We’re delighted to have partnered with The Gloss for a fabulous new content series all about what gives us that #avocafeeling! Kicking off our brand new Christmas campaign which is centred around the wonder and joy of the little things, we’d love for you to join in and let us know on social - what are the little things that bring you joy, and evoke that #avocafeeling for you? We’re all about finding and celebrating daily rituals and little pleasures that keep us afloat, in particular in these current challenging times. Whether it’s your morning cup of coffee, sea swimming, forest walking or curling up with your favourite book and throw, we’d love to hear how you find joy in the little things.

Second in our series is our wonderful Visual Merchandiser, Hannah. In her interview with The Gloss, Hannah tells us about the little rituals that bring her joy:

'I have always found a lot of joy in being creative. Little things like making a friend or family member a birthday card, handpicking bunches of wildflowers to pop in a vase on my kitchen table, or making someone a thoughtful gift brings me a lot of happiness and a sense of satisfaction. There’s nothing I love more than putting on some of my favourite music and wiling away the hours doing something crafty!'

With joy and wonder being at the core of this year's Avoca Christmas campaign, Hannah shares how she will bring a sense on wonder into her home this Christmas, saying 'Since I can remember, it has been my job to set the table on Christmas day. I find such joy in this ritual, and love to get creative in setting the scene for the most important meal of the year. Personally, I love fresh greenery for a tablescape as it’s such an easy way to make an impact. Usually I clip some holly from the garden or, to my sister’s dismay, I have been known to ask the local Christmas tree sellers if they have any scraps left over! Last year I used these to create a beautiful centrepiece with lots of twinkly lights and candles. The finishing touches make a big difference too, and I love to make cloved oranges, and adding pinecones or personalised name cards for each place setting. They’re all quite simple to create, but look so beautiful on the Christmas table.'

Don't forget, we’d love to hear what gives you that #avoacfeeling too so please share it with us! Follow @theglossmag and @avocaireland and share your little joys with us using #avocafeeling.
