There are also gardens to explore at many of our stores, as well as florists and garden centres. The list goes on. And all of this from a modest handwaving mill, established in a rural Irish village in 1723.

Role Purpose:

The Warehouse Stock Controller will be responsible for the day to day reordering of Food Ambient Stocks in the warehouse. This role is a highly focused Operational role and Together with the Avoca CST Manager and buying teams will have full  Use of inhouse operating system EPOS to run & analyse reports to support order forecasts .The SC will be required to Coordinate arrange deliveries and necessary follow ups with suppliers to ensure shipments are delivered on time.

 To implement company strategy for driving associated Overhead costs and the P&L AOI (Annual Operating Income)/MC (Margin Contribution) within the Avoca store Business. Working collaboratively with support functions, CST Management, and buying teams the SC will be accountable and responsible for replenishment orders of food stocks.

Avoca’s Stock Controller is responsible for overseeing the entire Food Hall Retail and Food Business that is linked to all retail activity. To ensure that all branch Operations is maintained at optimal levels and group operational standards are maintained to a level consistent with Food Safety, Safety, Business Excellence, Commercial and Operational requirements and deliver on group P&L targets. This involves managing all food stocks in the warehouse and ensure Avoca produces a high-quality customer experience, while generating revenue. Ensures operational standards are maintained throughout all orders placed. Delivers on all Business requirements to ensure the set targets are achieved on the store P&L.

The Stock controller will have overall day to day responsibility for food ordering and They will always ensure compliance in related processes, activities, system transactions, documentation, and business operations across all areas. Achieve a world class standard of efficient operational practice, controls and set process that deliver both profit growth and future development of all people involved in all areas of branch Operations.

The Avoca businesses relies on the efficiency of the organisation’s manufacturing & logistics capabilities, Group Operations and Business Excellence departments to meet customer demand, deliver finished products on time, in a safe secure manner and within budget to our stores. To deliver on all planned financial targets and embed systems, processes and procedures for Stores and other Business-related activity, that will ensure stainability, future growth, and clear profit margins.

The Stock controller will work/liaise/report to with the following Departments and Areas of the Business to ensure a smooth operational efficient business is maintained to the needs of the Avoca Group Operations requirements. The Stock controller  will have reporting requirements to the Avoca CST and Regional Manager who will report to the Director of Group Operations Retail, Manufacturing and Logistics.

Food Quality & Safety:

The Stock controller will work/liaise/report to with the Food Safety team to uphold all Food Safety requirements. To liaise with the Food Safety team to ensure all audit and EHO requirements are implemented. Review all Food Safety recommendations with all staff to ensure best practice standards are followed. Engage with all NPD (new product development) actions and set-up as required by the Food Safety Management. Ensure all areas,  processes, administration requirements and systems are in full compliance with Avoca/Aramark Food Safety best practice guidelines.

Health & Safety:

The Stock Controller will work/liaise/report to with the Health & Safety team to uphold all Health & Safety requirements. To liaise with the Health & Safety team to ensure all safety audit and HSE requirements are implemented. Review all Health & Safety recommendations with all staff to ensure best practice standards are followed. Engage with all training and development actions/requirements and set-up as required by the Health & Safety Management. Ensure all areas, equipment, processes, administration requirements and systems are in full compliance with Avoca/Aramark Health & Safety best practice guidelines.

Marketing, Buying & Creative:

The Stock Controller will work/liaise/report to and with the Marketing, Buying & Creative team to uphold all Marketing, Commercial and Creative requirements. To liaise with the Marketing, Buying & Creative team to ensure all requirements are implemented as per agreed Company guidelines, principles, and design for On-Line and departments.  Engage with all training and development actions/requirements linked to Marketing, Buying & Creative.
