After the recipe for our famous brown bread was requested more times than we could remember, the decision was made. Avoca bakeries began to take shape, with the first opening in our Kilmacanogue store. Good food is very often simple food, and so our bakeries began with a few staples. Multiseed brown bread, simple and traditional soda bread, fresh, warm scones. Now, our bakeries attract people from all over. Each morning, our dedicated bakers rise at 5am to freshly prepare delicacies such as banana and pecan muffins, oat cookies, cupcakes, croissants, and a host of different breads and scones to name a few.

Then, there are the cakes: from rich and decadent chocolate fudge to deliciously tangy lemon curd cake and the traditional but beautiful open sponge, there’s something for every occasion. It’s important to us that our customers consider Avoca cafes and bakeries a friendly home from home, and we really are firm believers that baking is love made edible.
