COVID19 - Updates at Avoca

Due to the most recent government restrictions regarding County Dublin announced on Friday 18th  of September, we unfortunately have to temporarily close our self-service cafes at our Malahide and Rathcoole locations. Our retail stores and food markets at both locations will remain open. We will continue to adhere to the advice of the government and the HSE to keep all of our customers and employees safe and well.

Further to the Government’s announcement on the 18th of August concerning new measures being put in place to stop the spread of COVID 19, the Irish government has now mandated a modification to the way all restaurants and cafés operate their business up until 13th of September.

As per the government’s guidelines concerning restaurants and cafes, we will be changing the way we operate in our self-service cafés in all of our Avoca locations.

The new measures require that customers in our cafés are seated immediately at tables of no more than 6 people from no more than 3 households, that they place their orders from their table, and that they wear a face covering on their way to and from their table.

Customers are also required to:

  • keep 2 metres apart in any queues
  • kindly provide contact information so that we may comply with contact tracing
  • wear their face covering when not seated at their table, and to put their covering away rather than leave it on a table
  • use the sanitiser and wipes provided in the store
  • order from their table from the newly printed cafe menus
  • pay while seated at their table
We hope this information page is a simple guide for the new restrictions, but if you do have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch ahead of a visit to one of our locations, or to safely ask a member of staff. We are hugely grateful for all of your support and understanding.
