Customers shipping to the United Kingdom, may notice delays in expected delivery times. Please be aware, orders shipping to the United Kingdom, that total value (including shipping cost) is £135 or over, are subject to tax & duty as per local laws and legislation. If your total order (including shipping cost) exceeds £135, you will be notified by our international courier partner DHL. The amount owed will be payable by the person receiving the goods upon delivery by DHL. If the tax and duty fees exceed a value of £100, DHL will contact you in advance before they deliver to your door. Any returns from the UK may incur costs including transport costs, as well as any associated import fees or customs where applicable. These costs will be payable by the person returning the goods.

*Important details on couriers right to leave parcel with neighbor or concierge: To ensure parcels are not returned to Avoca by couriers due to the recipient not being home, and therefore delaying order delivery by 5-9 days, Avoca’s contract with couriers DPD & DHL authorises parcels to be left with a neighbor. *Courier may deliver the parcel to a neighbor of the consignee’s address or a concierge at the consignee’s building or a pickup location within delivery hours, transport of the parcel will end at the time of delivery to the neighbor or obtaining a signature from the concierge or other recipient or leaving the parcel at the consignee’s building.

How quickly will I receive my order?

All orders placed Monday - Thursday are dispatched within 24-72hrs from your purchase date and time.

For orders placed Friday - Sunday please allow 48-96hrs for dispatch.

Most packages are delivered within 5-7 business days of their dispatch. Normally all products on our website are held in stock, but on the rare occasion that an item is out of stock, we will contact you with the expected delivery time. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive an email from us with a tracking number.

* Online Dispatch working hours is Monday to Friday, closed all public holidays.

* Order processing and delivery may take longer during busy periods such as Christmas, Black Friday/Cyber Monday and during Sales.

What are the normal delivery times?

We deliver from Monday-Friday (excluding Public Holidays).

Yes, you will need to sign for your package.

How will I know that my order is ready to be delivered?

We'll send you a text message to let you know when your order is out for delivery (as long as you have provided your mobile phone number).

What happens if I am not available when you try to deliver my order?

If you are not at home to accept the delivery, we'll leave a card with the courier's contact details. You can then give them a call to re-arrange delivery or arrange to collect your order.

What should I do if I haven't received my order, or I have a problem?

Is my order subject to duty payments and customs?

All orders dispatched outside the EU are sent free of any Irish taxes. Products delivered to destinations outside the EU may be subject to taxes, fees, levies or other charges, which are imposed by local legislation. **Please be advised that you can also read this information during the checkout process by clicking 'Tax & Duties May Apply' before you complete your purchase. 

For example: For the following Non-EU countries, if the order value is over the following threshold, charges may apply.UK £135, US is $800, Canada is $20, and AU is $1000 (all of the above values are order totals inclusive of shipping cost).

The recipient of the products is responsible for all customs formalities for their export and import and will be required to pay any additional charges, including import duty, formal customs entry, taxes, levies and other charges. The recipient of the goods, not the person who ordered them, will receive a separate request for payment of these charges.

If you're ordering products to be delivered to someone else, please make sure they're aware they will be responsible for any additional charges. Returns & Exchange Policy

Christmas Season Returns & Exchanges Policy

During the Christmas season, we extend our normal 30 day return policy to 45 days. Items shipped by Avoca.com between the first week of November to the end of December may be returned for a full refund up until 45 days from the purchase date. All items are subject to our regular return/exchange guidelines. This extension is only valid on full priced items, for sale items any refund or exchange must take place within the 14 day return policy for sale items.

What Is Avoca's Returns or Exchange Policy?

Items must be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase (For sale items, any refund or exchange must take place within 14 days of purchase). Any returned or exchanged goods must be unused/unworn and in the same condition as it was when you received it, item must include all attached tags/ labels and be in its original packaging. The cost of returning unwanted items or exchanging an item is at your expense and as we do not offer a collection service you should use your own carrier. We highly recommend that you use a carrier who can give you a "proof of posting", as until the parcel is received by us, it will remain your responsibility.

* If you choose to exchange an item, we are more than happy to do so for you, however, the cost of shipping the new item back to you is at your expense. Please note: There is no exchange or returns on earrings. This is for hygiene reasons and does not affect your statutory rights.

*Free In-Store Returns: If local, you can return any item to an Avoca retail shop (excluding the airport T2 location), please be aware for orders purchased using Paypal, stores will only be able to issue an Avoca gift card as a refund.

How Do I Return or Exchange Unwanted Items?

When Will I Receive My Refund?

Please allow up to 21 days for refunds to show up on your account. We will refund you by the same method the original payment was received. If you paid with a gift card, a new gift card will be issued for the amount of the credit and mailed to your billing address.

Additional Information:

The value of returns, exchanges or refunds is the value of the item at the time of purchase. Gift Cards are treated like cash and are exempt from the returns policy.
