Burnt Caramel & Apple Pancakes

INGREDIENTS

This classic combination of caramel and apple is perfect with our fluffy buttermilk pancakes. Even better, try adding a hint of cinnamon for extra flavour and even pair it with Irish Black Butter which can be found across our Food Markets.


Ingredients:


2 Pink Lady apples
1 Vanilla pod
100g Sugar
50g unsalted butter
Ground cinnamon

METHOD

Add this topping to our delicious buttermilk pancakes or crêpes.

To start, peel and de-core your apples and finely slice.


Melt the butter in a non stick pan set over a medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add sugar and let it dissolve.

Next, add the sliced apples, vanilla pod & dash of cinnamon (optional).


Cook and toss the apples until they are nicely caramelized on all sides.


Stack your pancakes and drizzle 2 tablespoons of Irish Black Buter and enjoy!
