BBQ Avoca Butcher Steak Burgers

INGREDIENTS

Serves 4

4 handmade steak burgers from Avoca Butcher
4 Brioche burger buns
125 grams Mossfield organic cheddar slices
2 ripe vine plum tomatoes, sliced
1 baby gem lettuce, cleaned & leaves separated
8 pickle slices
1 small red onion, sliced
Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise & BBQ sauce

METHOD

Pre heat your BBQ to medium-high heat.

Get all your garnishes ready first & arrange on a platter. Set aside.

Season your steak burgers with sea salt & cracked black pepper & drizzle with a little olive oil.

Once your BBQ is nice & hot, place your burger on the grill & leave to cook for 6-8 minutes per side. Flip over & continue to cook until your thermometer reaches 70C. Place your burger buns on the grill to toast & now turn off the BBQ. 

Add your cheese slices to the burgers & close the lid to melt the cheese.

Once the buns are toasted & the cheese is melted transfer everything onto a serving platter & let your guests garnish their own burgers just the way they like. We like serving our burgers with chunky chips seasoned with a little rosemary & sea salt. Enjoy!
