Fern House Café
Avoca Kilmacanogue, Co. Wicklow

The award-winning Fern House Café is a beautifully bright and airy table service restaurant with tall sash windows opening out to its own paved terrace at Avoca Kilmacanogue (often shortened to Kilmac).
Built in the style of a Victorian fern house, it's spacious and plant-filled - including orange & lemon trees. and set in the grounds of the old Jameson (of whiskey fame) estate, surrounded by ancient trees and rolling gardens. The menu here offers modern, café-style dining, incorporating scrumptious salads, bistro classics and seafood dishes, with our own fresh baking daily. With delicious morning and lunch service every day, and dinner on Thursday to Sat evenings, the Fern House is a hugely popular destination. And we have great coffee, tea and pastries just about all day long.

All our beef, lamb, pork & eggs are 100% Irish originated & sourced from members of Quality Assurance Schemes as well as from local suppliers.

There are actually two award-winning cafes with terraces here at Kilmac, the other is our fabulous self service Sugar Tree Café. You'll also find a gourmet food market & deli with great take-out food.

Located at the gateway to the Garden of Ireland, County Wicklow, on the N11/M11 linking Dublin to Wexford and the South East, even if we say so ourselves, it's a pretty extraordinary shopping & leisure destination.
